A scenario was portrayed: on an initial meeting with a Master, after previous claims that safe sex is something he honors, he ties you up and disregards his own statement to be safe. <P>
kaylee is answering this not only from the point of view from an owned slave, but drawing on her years of experience prior to her Master claiming ownership. During that time and since, she has met a number of men offline. While she is attempting to give a realistic answer, it will be difficult because this is not a situation she would find herself in for reasons explained later in her post.<P>
kaylee would beg for him to use protection. kaylee would beg not to be exposed to unsafe sex. kaylee would beg to leave if she is not capable of pleasing him in the risky manner that he wishes her to do. kaylee would beg to please him in other ways that lowered her risk of exposure to any diseases if it appeared that he was going to rape her anyway. She would try really hard to escape the bindings (she's a good wiggler). She would do all she could after the fact, including full testing and disclosure to other men she served in the future. <P>
If she was not bound, she would do all of the same except she might try to escape if he came at her and forced her to partake in something risky. Her survival becomes more important.<P>
Is she failing to be enslaved? Possibly. Is she protecting her life, and attempting to protect potential (or Master's) property from the risk of fatal diseases? Absolutely.<P>
Her reality is this: What power over her does this man have? Is she emotionally bound to him? Is she physically held at gunpoint or restrained? Does this man have the ability to dominate her to the point that she would risk her own life for his pleasure?<P>
If she was held at gunpoint, and her life hung in his hands, then you would not hear one peep out of her. She would lay motionless, until it was done if that was what was wanted. But he would not be so much a dominant man, than a bully, if the only way he could take his pleasure from a woman would be to lie, manipulate, bind and force her into placing herself (and him!) in danger. Bullies are not strong men, they are the pinnacle of weakness. They are everything that Gor abhors.<P>
kaylee has a hard time viewing this as a Gorean scenario. There is no room in Gor for misogyny or the reckless destruction of a female. The concept of using a woman is driven by the idea of taking pleasure with her, not destroying her. Goreans have a love of living, a joy of life that would counteract the idea of a male being so reckless as to endanger his own life, let alone someone else's. One of the basic ideas of Gorean philosophy is personal accountability, and that is lacking in the actions of such a man. There is no strength in this act, only weakness, cowardice, and a weak man trying to validate his manhood. <P>
She envisions such a man stamping his foot and saying "I am SO a Gorean Master(tm)! Just ask anyone, I have had (insert number here) girls come serve me!" <P>
kaylee is a slave. She serves men who are strong enough to compel her obedience and inspire her desire to please them. She lives to kneel at the feet of strong men, Gorean men. <P>
There are several instances with this scenario that prevent it from being something which could be a realistic option for her. For one thing, she is very safety oriented and asks around prior to going to meet people she has never met. If there is even a remote chance that her life would be endangered, or rumours that it might be from others who have been in the same situation, it is her *responsibility* to ensure that she is not placed in potential danger, or that she not risk being displeasing by being forced to serve in ways she must be forced to fail in. She does not drink alcohol at such meetings, as it can slow her reflexes, alter her thought process, and place her in positions that may be dangerous. She saw once that a man told a girl to drink alcohol so that she could fulfill his commands of her, and wondered: What kind of mastery requires a girl to drink in order to comply with his desires?<P>
To serve someone as a Gorean slave requires absolute obedience. To avoid failing, she *must* know in her heart that she can in good faith lay her life in their hands before begging to serve them. If she can not, or she does not know that a trusted Gorean Freeperson will be there at all times, she does not beg to go.<P>
She usually meets in a public or group setting, with other trusted freepeople there. She is extremely cautious about who she meets. Just because they can quote from the books or wear their caste colors does not mean that they are Gorean, particularly with an anonymous source such as the internet, where words can be misleading and false. She's often found that the initial visits are not sexually oriented but more focused on if she is compatable to be owned by the man, but that is only her personal experience. (In that case, why would the man risk lowering the value of something he is considering owning, by risking her health and his?) She has to earn the priviledge to be allowed to serve a man in such an intimate way. She doesn't measure his mastery by how many girls he has visit or owns, but rather feels herself responding to the man that he *is*.<P>
Does that lower the number of males that she will be permitted to serve? Absolutely. Does it limit the number of Gorean men she serves? She doesn't think so. She looks at the men whom she has served, and she is proud to know that her instincts were correct. While the number of them are limited, they are true men in every sense of the word.<P>
Girls: you don't check your minds in at the door. Be responsible prior to going to visit someone you don't know. Don't confuse knowing the books with being a Master. The sad truth is, not everyone who claims to be Gorean, is. Educate yourself! Realise the truth about the internet: no matter how long you have spoken to someone on the internet, you don't absolutely know them until you have faced them and seen what is real and what is a smokescreen. Ask others who have met the person face to face (and not just their buddies). Recognise a man who has actual power over you. Don't mistake lust for mastery.<P>
This is your life you are playing with, and for those of you with children or families... well, kaylee has a mother, and when she thinks of being foolish she imagines the call that she might have to make one day where kaylee tells her she contracted AIDS, genital warts, herpes, or any other STD from some guy she never really knew, or her mother asks her why she has scars on her skin from being whipped by someone who has typed it out a million times but had no idea what he was doing. <P>
And somehow the excuse of "Well, he *said* he was a Gorean Master" doesn't sound that good then. In fact, it sounds pretty stupid.<P>
LIFE is a risk. But that doesn't mean that kaylee will hide away from it. It merely means that she will reduce the potential risks out there and rely on common sense and intelligence. She certainly isn't going to make a point of playing Russian Roulette when she could just as easily protect herself and others.<P>
kaylee is lucky. Her successes were made by intelligent decisions, personal accountability and by swallowing her eagerness and ache to be owned, in fact, forcing herself to do the safe thing before she knocked on a man's door. That is why she is owned by the man she is, and why she serves the men she does. Master now determines who and how she serves intimately, and she knows that he takes into consideration any risks that might occur and has personal accountability. Her duty is to obey and trust in his decisions, even if she doesn't agree.<P>
That is also why she is not allowed to visit just any man who says he is Gorean, no matter how respected he might be online. That is her owner's choice, although it can change at his whim.<P>
She wanted to be more than the one time slut at a local gang bang who finds out a few months later she is carrying a disease. <P>She prayed to be the girl one found valuable enough to own.
